Business simulation experiences
Promises, Promises! is a simulation experience that gives participants experience in solving complicated situations arising in the workplace. Common vision helps participants to identify how to reach set goals and how to help their company to become more productive. Participants acquire experience in cooperating to achieve complex organizational goals through collaboration of interdependent teams. This experience also helps participants to understand the benefits of trust, common vision and communication skills for their organizations.
Gold of the Desert Kings This simulation experience is based on the principle of achieving maximum results in competition between teams. Participants are put in conditions of limited time and resources, as in their everyday work, and must overcome all difficulties, collect as much gold as possible, and come back home alive! Participants will realize all the advantages of teamwork, effectiveness of strategic planning, goal setting and evaluation of risk decisions.
Council of the Marble Star highlights the issues surrounding personal effectiviness. Participants take responsibility for producing quality results in the midst of uncertainty, lack of direction, competition and a changing environment. While some teams focus solely on results, others socialize and lose the focus of achieving a productive outcome. The experience teaches that combining the skills of being productive with the skills of building and maintaining relationships creates a competitive edge that leads to success.
Energy Board
The simulation (developed by BTS) spans the energy value chain from Upstream through to Downstream: Upstream: Participants will get the opportunity to acquire licenses, explore prospects and develop & produce reserves. Downstream: Participants will make decisions on the refining process at the beginning of the downstream value chain through to managing the retail end of the chain (service stations.) Participants will also be required to respond to numerous events. Their responses to these events will influence their safety record, government reputation, revenues and production capacity. They will also have the opportunity to influence the strategy of their company by choosing various strategic initiatives to improve their performance. The company will be evaluated on their Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) which is defined as Revenues – Costs, all divided by Assets.
In addition to ROCE, several other aspects are important in evaluating the long term success of the company such as:
Ability to replace reserves.
Ability to read the macro and micro environment.
Ability to successfully manage all stakeholder interests.
Create positive returns for stakeholders.
Create sustainable environments.
Maintain safety for all involved in the value
