CBSD’s Lean Department helps companies save time and resources by identifying a strategy to eliminate excess within their operations and manufacturing processes. Lean at CBSD

We delivered our first Lean course “Introduction to Lean” in 2003. CBSD, jointly with the University of Kentucky (USA), administered “Introduction to Lean” with the inclusion of a simulation business game developed by Toyota at our client, New York International Company’s request. This course became the starting point for Lean program development in Russia with cooperation from international Lean experts.


“Value Stream Mapping” (based on the program by the Lean Enterprise Institute), 2004. That year, CBSD trainers developed and introduced a new course “Building Lean Organization”.


“Lean Office”, along with a series of courses titled “Lean Tools”, was developed in partnership with the University of Nebraska (USA), 2005. In 2005, CBSD specialists took part in the International Lean Conference in Poland, where they won recognition from the worldwide Lean community for achievements in developing Lean projects in Russia.


First Russian Lean Conference, March 2006. CBSD held a conference with the goal of sharing our experiences with Lean implementation, where practicing specialists from companies implementing Lean attended presentations given by Russian and foreign experts, participated in round-tables and media space bridges with foreign consultants, and took part in the Lean-Quiz.


First "Lean Accounting" course, 2006. Delivered by international expert Brian Maskell on invitation from CBSD. Since 2003, CBSD consultants have gained a lot of valuable experience working on the shop floors of client companies located in various parts of Russia and CIS, helping to train employees, and developing Corporate Business Systems. As of 2007, CBSD’s Lean Department has provided a full-range of consulting support for Lean transformations as a part of Corporate Business System Development. Our trainers and consultants have experience implementing Lean projects jointly with foreign experts in the USA, where they were trained an international program administered by the University of Kentucky, Lean Enterprise Institute, University of Nebraska, and University of Michigan. CBSD consultants have also coordinated the Lean transformations at companies such as: York International, «Sveza», «Russkie Kraski», «Yarshina», «NPO MIR», «Micron», «Rusal», «OMZ», «Caterpillar», «TM-print», and many more.
